Dear Camp Families,
I hope this finds you well. We are doing just great here at Shiloh. The campers are all in bed after a really fun and campy night. First we had a delicious dinner complete with peach cobbler. Then we had to delay our epic game of sardines (a cooler version of hide-and seek) due to a beautiful DOUBLE/POSSIBLY TRIPLE Rainbow. Next we were at fire circle for some singing, after which we headed back to our cabins.
Our fantastic staff has planned a surprise for tomorrow, which is special day. I hope I can trust you all with this secret… Tomorrow is Renaissance day! Here’s what I know: there will be troubadours, plays, relay races, jewels, a wedding, and a complex plot which I’m sure will be adjusted as soon as the campers get involved. Our evening activity will be a performance of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” by the Traveling Players! We can’t wait.
Unit One, our oldest campers are having an excellent time on their long trip by all reports. Today they ended their canoeing section and headed back to the Appalachian Trail with the goal of hiking back into camp sometime Wednesday evening. Everyone else will head out on their project week trips on Tuesday. Ask your camper about their trip! We will see you between 10 and 12 next Saturday. Please join us for Meeting for Worship around 10 if you can.
