Shiloh Quaker Camp Session 3 Report

Hello Hello Shiloh Community!

Coming to you live from the back porch (the staff only zone, where we can safely use technology without impacting the campers’ experience). I can hear campers and counselors singing and cleaning up from lunch while others are resting in their cabins. This morning, we had a last meeting for worships and said goodbye to a few of our youngest campers. After wiping some tears away, we came back together and had a great discussion about what it means to feel welcome. We are looking forward to greeting some new campers this afternoon!

We are enjoying some sunshine finally after some rather rainy trips last week! Some of us may have been a bit worried about our little community out hiking and canoeing in the rain. I wish you could have all been there when the trips got back and shared stories over hot chocolate next to the fire. Thank you circle that night was just lovely, even though it was inside. The stories and appreciations just kept rolling in. Be sure to ask your camper to let you in on some of their “inside jokes.”

We are looking forward to another great week at camp. Can’t wait to see what other stories will come out of this one. Thank you all so much for your love and support.

With Gratitude,

Hope and the Shiloh Staff
