Community Work Days

This summer was awesome but there is still time to have some fun at the BYM Camp Properties!

Winter is coming but there is still some time to enjoy fall at the camps and help us get the properties ready for the colder months!

2024 Fall Work Days

We will be hosting Work Days at each of the camps to make sure everything is ready for winter. We will have a great time together and get some work done while we are at it. Join us for the fun.

Work Day Schedule:

We will get started around 9:30 am and work together until around 4 pm.
We will share a potluck lunch. Beverages and sandwich making materials will be provided by camp. Feel free to bring something else to share.

Please dress for the weather and wear heavy soled shoes, jeans and protective eye wear.

Friends under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a Friend who is older than 18.

September 7th
Opequon Quaker Camp at Rolling Ridge Conservancy

What a great first summer at the new site we had! Now it is time to get started on a few new projects and get the site ready for winter. We will be taking down tents, cleaning up the site and we may even have time to do some demolition of structures that we will be replacing. Come and experience the new site in a new season!

There is nothing like the Shenendoahs in the late summer and autumn! Come and enjoy the camp and help get ready for the long winter nights!

October 12th
Opequon Quaker Camp

We will be taking down the tents and winterizing the camp

October 26th
at Catoctin Quaker Camp

Many camp families, local Meetings, and schools have been enjoying some time at Catoctin since camp ended but now it is time to get the sites ready for winter. Join us on October 26th and see what wonders fall on the mountain has in store for you!
